Small Animal Care

We care for many types of small animals and exotic pets, including ferrets, fish, reptiles, arachnids, invertebrates, amphibians, all types of rodents and our feathered friends.

• Small Animals (Rodents, Hamsters, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, etc.) – General enclosure cleanup or full bedding changes as needed, feeding, fresh water, treats, and out of cage play time (animal specific), and full body check.  Enclosures will also be inspected for chewed or damaged areas and toys will be checked to ensure they are still safe as some animals will chew them and create a choking hazard.
• Fish and Aquatic –  Feeding, equipment check for all timers, lights, air pumps, and filters plus inspection of all animals in the tank. Cleaning of filters and partial to full water changes with water conditioning are provided as a special service.
• Birds – General cleanup (paper/bedding change, cleanup around the cage area, etc.), fresh water, feeding, and treats.  Out of cage playtime and socialization is also provided on a case by case basis and at the discretion of the owner.  Your birds will also get a full body check to look for injury, signs of irregular molting, or any other abnormalities.

Our confident and skilled staff has over 20 years of experience caring for, breeding, and studying reptiles and invertebrates.  We have experience caring for even the most challenging and demanding of these species from egg to adult.

• Reptiles – General enclosure cleanup, fresh water, feeding, inspection of timers, heaters, and lighting equipment.  Humidity check and correction as needed.  All animals will be checked over for any abnormalities.  Socialization and out of enclosure interactions are provided for certain species and at the discretion of the owner.
• Arachnids and Invertebrates – Enclosure inspection and general cleanup, fresh water and feeding as needed, inspection of environmental control equipment (heaters, lights, timers, humidifiers, etc.) and all animals which are out in the open during care time.
